Terms & Conditions – Equipment Hire

1. Booking & Deposits

* A booking is only confirmed once a deposit has been received.
* All deposits are non-refundable under any circumstances.
* By paying the deposit, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms & Conditions in full.

2. Final Payment

* The remaining balance must be paid in full no later than 7 days before the event date unless alternative agreements have been made.
* If full payment is not received by this time, we reserve the right to cancel the booking, and the deposit will not be refunded.
* No services or equipment will be provided until full payment has been received.

3. Cancellations

* Payments are strictly non-refundable.
* All payments made (including deposits and full balances) are strictly non-refundable under any circumstances.
* If the hirer chooses to cancel the booking at any time, all monies paid will be retained by Taylor Event Co. to cover loss of business and reserved date.
* Once a booking is confirmed, the agreed date is held exclusively for the hirer and we may decline other bookings.

4. Equipment Use & Responsibility

* All equipment (including popcorn cart, candy floss machine, and photo booth) remains the property of Taylor Event Co. at all times.
* The hirer is responsible for ensuring:
* Equipment is used safely and appropriately.
* Children are supervised at all times.
* Equipment must not be moved, tampered with, or used for purposes other than intended.

5. Damage, Loss & Cleaning

* The hirer is fully responsible for any loss, theft, or damage to equipment during the hire period.
* Any damage will be charged at full repair or replacement cost.
* This includes (but is not limited to):
* Machines
* Carts
* Electrical components
* Decorations
* Photo booth props
* Missing or damaged props will be charged accordingly.
* Excessive cleaning required due to misuse may result in an additional fee.

6. Photo Booth Props

* Props are provided for enjoyment but must be treated with care.
* Any lost or damaged props will incur a replacement charge.
* Props must remain within the event area and not be taken away.

7. Power & Setup Requirements

* The hirer must ensure:
* Safe and suitable access to the venue.
* Adequate power supply (standard UK sockets unless otherwise agreed).
* We are not responsible for delays or inability to provide service due to insufficient power or unsafe setup conditions.

8. Weather (Outdoor Events)

* For outdoor bookings:
* Suitable cover/shelter must be provided.
* Equipment must not be exposed to rain, strong winds, or extreme conditions.
* We reserve the right to refuse operation if conditions are unsafe. No refunds will be given in these circumstances.

9. Timing & Access

* The hirer must ensure access to the venue at the agreed setup time.
* Any delays caused by lack of access may result in reduced hire time without refund.
* Additional time may be charged if the event runs beyond the agreed hire period.

10. Liability

* We are not liable for:
* Any injury caused by misuse of equipment.
* Venue-related issues (e.g. power failure, access problems).
* The hirer accepts full responsibility for guests interacting with the equipment.

11. Food Safety (Popcorn & Candy Floss)

* All products are prepared to standard hygiene practices.
* The hirer must inform us in advance of any allergies or dietary requirements.
* We are not liable for allergic reactions where information has not been provided.

12. Agreement

* By paying a deposit and/or confirming your booking, you are entering into a binding agreement and accept all Terms & Conditions stated above.
